The U.S. Navy's ''Truman'' class aircraft carrier suffered a collision on its right port side, causing significant damage.

The U.S. Navy conducted recovery operations for an EA-18G "Prowler" electronic warfare aircraft that had sunk in the Santa Monica Bay.

Over the past year, U.S. military ships and aircraft have been involved in numerous accidents across multiple military branches, highlighting the complexity of their causes and the significant losses incurred, which have exposed major gaps in management and readiness.

Accidents have become a pressing issue at the start of the year.

Recent reports indicate that the U.S. Air Force's F-35A fighter experienced its first incident. On January 28, a F-35A of the 354th Fighter Squadron at the Alaskan Air National Guard Base crashed during training in the air while on a training mission, sustaining severe damage.

On January 29, a UH-60 "Black Hawk" helicopter from the 12th Air Operations Command crashed during an overnight training exercise near the Los Angeles International Airport, with a commercial jet owned by a U.S. company also involved in the collision. All personnel on board both aircraft were confirmed dead.

On February 6, a U.S. Department of Defense租用的比奇350小型飛機(jī)從菲律賓馬科斯機(jī)場起飛后發(fā)生嚴(yán)重故障，最終在南馬京達(dá)瑙省墜毀。機(jī)上共有4名人員遇難，其中包括3名美國防務(wù)承包商和一名美國海軍陸戰(zhàn)隊(duì)的電子戰(zhàn)專家。據(jù)報道，該機(jī)原計劃前往棉蘭老島執(zhí)行秘密任務(wù)。

On February 12, an EA-18G "Prowler" electronic warfare aircraft went down in the vicinity of the San Diego Port while a U.S. Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the ''Truman'' class, collided with a cargo ship named "Bosphorus" in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of Israel. The carrier suffered waterline damage and was forced to sail to Greece's Crete island for repairs. Despite claims that no one was injured and no nuclear facilities were damaged, visible cracks on the carrier's hull left the U.S. Navy in a difficult position.

While the U.S. Navy was investigating these accidents and addressing public criticism, further disclosures emerged revealing additional safety issues and potential problems. For instance, the ''Stok戴爾''號 destroyer was forced to halt operations in Japan's Hamamatsu Port due to system and component failures while preparing to join an aircraft carrier strike group. The U.S. Secretary of State's own Air Force plane experienced engine failure after takeoff, prompting concerns over the readiness of U.S. military equipment. On February 15, a MV-22 "Yaks" tilted-wing military rotary-wing aircraft crashed in the Philippines, drawing widespread attention to the type of aircraft. Additionally, the U.S. Air Force has decided to delay the ''Sentry'' land-based洲際彈道導(dǎo)彈 project due to insufficient funding and inadequate technical support, and to postpone its formal evaluation. The U.S. Navy's Los Angeles-class submarine unit stationed at Guam has been reported to consist of sailors who are all exceeding the maximum allowable age for deployment, causing the unit to be placed on hold.

These incidents have exposed deeper problems within the U.S. military.
