俄方：歐洲企圖“繼續(xù)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)”

The European "Peace Plan" was swiftly met with harsh criticism from Russian officials. According to news agency RAPPORT, Russian President's Press Secretary Alexei Peleskun stated that the European initiative "is not aimed at peace" but rather to prolong the conflict, calling it a "war party." He also accused the European nations of forming a "peace alliance," deeming that, despite ongoing dialogue between the US and Russia toward peace talks, Russia will continue its special military operations to achieve all its objectives.

According to TASS, Russian Parliament members, including Fyodor Psh Kosov and Dmytro Shliomets, have strongly criticized the so-called "peace plan" proposed by the UK and France, which aims to provide new weapons to Ukraine and restructure its army, effectively creating a political ploy. Psh Kosov stated that President馬克龍's proposal for partial ceasefire has no chance of achieving peace, calling it a "stuck proposition" with no real value and that the US and Russia would not accept it.

A Russian official on social media noted that while some European leaders are no longer mentioning "defeating Russia strategically," they now advocate "using Ukraine to end the war." The official emphasized that this new approach is no different from the previous one; both aim to prolong the conflict.

Less than a day prior, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov expressed his frustration over European nations' desire to continue the war, stating that they are providing Ukraine with weapons and hindering peace. He also strongly condemned the idea of sending "peacekeeping forces" to Ukraine, calling it "dishonest" and comparing it to Europe's role in creating war over the past 500 years.

Lavrov's stance on the "peace plan" remains unwavering.

The divide between Europe and the US has become increasingly evident.

Although Stamatopoulos has proposed discussing the continuation of military aid and security guarantees as part of the "peace plan" for the US, the gap between Europe and the US continues to widen. As reported by CNN, European leaders are gathering in London to discuss the conflict, signaling their attempt to gain more influence in the ongoing俄烏 dispute amid tension with the US. Mark龍, speaking to Le Monde, expressed concern over the US administration's stance, calling Europe "divided and alone," adding that the continent is "no longer able to rely on NATO."

US National Intelligence Director O'Brien pointed out that Europe's reaction to public clashes between澤連斯基 and Trump indicates a lack of commitment to peace. He stated that Europe is "not on the side of peace" and that the continent is "choosing to support澤連斯基's war," a stance fundamentally opposed to Trump's efforts.

The New York Times cited a US official as reporting that Trump is considering summoning key US government officials, including State Secretary Rice and Defense Secretary Shelton, to discuss a series of policies aimed at Ukraine. The official emphasized that discussions might involve suspending or ceasing US military aid to Ukraine, including the weapons supplied under the Biden administration.

As the US government may decide to halt military aid to Ukraine, Kyiv and its European allies are intensifying efforts to find alternatives to the US' anti-aircraft missile system.
