The U.S. President Trump has淡化 recent fluctuations in the stock market, which have been driven by his initial implementation of tariffs followed by adjustments. During an interview, he defended his strategy, stating that next month, some tariffs "might be increased."
Trump often views the stock market's performance as a key indicator of his presidency's success. However, in this interview, he said, "You can't really just look at the stock market," and expressed that he is working on building a nation from a long-term perspective.
U.S. stocks have been experiencing a downward-moving trend.

Trump emphasized, "If you look at a country, they have a long-term plan. We only look at a quarter. We look at things on a quarterly basis. But you can't just look at the stock market. You have to do the right things. We are laying the foundation for the future."
On Thursday, the President signed an executive order, extending the effective date of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (USMCA) tariffs on products from Mexico and Canada to April 2, 2018. However, Trump hinted that tariffs could still be increased after that date.
Trump said, "Over time, tariffs could rise. They could potentially increase."
When asked whether he anticipates an economic recession in the coming year, Trump replied, "I don't like to predict such things. Right now, we're in a transition period because we're doing something on a massive scale. We're bringing wealth back to the United States. That's a big thing. And there will always be phases like that— it will take time, but I believe it will ultimately be a good outcome for us."
